Heather Hurst and acting with integrity

At the end of 2018, Pete Yonkman, president of Cook Medical and Cook Group,Β John Kamstra, chief financial officer (CFO) of Cook Group, Nicky James, Cook Group vice president of Human Resources and Talent Development, and Carol Seaman, Cook Group vice president and chief Ethics & Compliance officer, released a special end-of-year webcast that introduced the updated Cook Group values that we all share as employees. These values are the fundamental beliefs that guide us in the way we work and are the expectations of how we treat each other and our customers. No matter which area of the business you work in, our company values connect us all.

As we work towards our goal of becoming a modern, global company, we want to be sure that our company values not only reflect where we’re going,
but that they also stay true to what Bill and Gayle Cook started in 1963. The world is changing rapidly and that means that the medical device industry and our other business lines face new challenges and expectations every day. It is more important than ever to prepare for what lies ahead while making sure we keep our special company culture.

Cook Values

The Cook Values Audio Series

We wanted to have more in-depth conversations around each of the Cook Group values, so we started an audio series where we take the time to focus on each one. In every episode, we sit down with a member of leadership to learn more about why this specific value is important to the company and what we can all do to live that value in how we approach our daily work and relationships with each other.

Episode 1

In episode one, Heather Hurst, the global director of Ethics & Compliance shares her thoughts on what it means to act with integrity and how we can use different resources, like the Code of Conduct, to guide us in our decision making. To listen to the audio clip, please click below.
