A look at this episode
Like many things during the COVID-19 pandemic, The Cook Podcast was put on hold for a few months. Interviews that were done a while ago had to wait even longer before they could see the light of day—including this one that Jon Hancuff did with Brandy Doaks, from the Americas Delivery Center. Brandy grew up in South Bend, Indiana, where she was a star high school athlete. She went on to play basketball—and then soccer—at a junior college. After spending a semester on the soccer team at Ball State University, she decided to leave school and head back to her hometown, where she spent 17 years working for a friend’s family business. A couple of years ago, Brandy relocated to Bloomington, and since then, she has been making a positive impact on the lives of her coworkers at Cook every day. Give this a listen to hear her entire story.
Also in this episode:
- Opening and closing by Judy Yan (Cook China)
- Music by Daniel Puckett (CRI)

Hello, Brandy. Appreciate you being so open with your Cook family and sharing your story with us. It was really great getting to know you. Your positive attitude radiated throughout the interview.
Great story. Happy holidays Brandy!
Such a wonderful Podcast. Thanks Brandy for sharing your story and being positive about everything and everyone around you :). I wish if all managers at Cook tries to listen to all their team members background and stories to understand their strength and personalities, so that they can use their strengths to suit a right position in Cook. (Provided all managers are great listeners and ice breakers like Jon Hancuff too 🙂 )
I really appreciated hearing Brandy’s story and learning about her life journey. Brandy, thank you for sharing! Even though podcasts are a one-way meeting, I love how I am able to “meet” my Cook colleagues in this virtual setting.
